Meet Michelle Ilugbusi, MA
Hello! My name is Michelle Ilugbusi and as a counselor with Peace Within: Counseling for Women I provide a space for others to work towards becoming the most authentic version of themselves.
In order to do that I approach the therapeutic relationship in a collaborative manner, while also being mindful of the intersecting identities that exist within each client. I pull from principles within dialectical behavioral therapy, as well as multicultural and feminist frameworks. My hope is that by the end of our time together you leave with a renewed sense of self and with tools to healthily navigate the roadblocks of life.
I have experience in a variety of settings: residential treatment program, mental health agency, college counseling center, and college case management. I specialize in working with religious abuse/trauma, grief, adult children of immigrants, and college students of all ages - especially those who identify as first generation.
