Meet Michelle Ilugbusi, MA

Hello! My name is Michelle and as a counselor with Peace Within: Counseling for Women, I provide a space for others to work towards becoming the most authentic version of themselves. In order to do that I approach the therapeutic relationship in a collaborative manner, while being mindful of the intersecting identities that exist within you. I also pull from principles within dialectical behavioral therapy, as well as multicultural and feminist frameworks. The hope is that by the end of our time together you leave with a renewed sense of self and tools to healthily navigate the roadblocks of life. 

 

I have experience in a variety of settings: residential treatment program, a community agency, college counseling center, and college case management. I specialize in working with religious abuse/trauma, grief, adult children of immigrants, and college students of all ages - especially those who identify as first generation.
